Yeah without someone from Apple to add something new to the conversation it's not clear what can come of this. As-is I'd attend if it were in my town. Add an Apple product Sr VP type and I'd fly in for it :)

I really think this think will fly...especially if they maintain an "aggressive" pricing strategy similar to the iPhone. Now we just needs a iPad Jailbreak and we will be set!

Funnily enough MacWorld weren't that interested in talking about planning for an iPad announcement prior to the keynote.

I have a feeling they planned this at the last minute due to all the comments/concerns and hype around the iPad. I think they are going to take this time to really explain "SOME" things throroughly. Thats my thought anyways.

I can just hear the stock analyst meeting in a few weeks...

Analyst: Are you concerned about the mediocre response to the iPad demos?

Jobs: Oh no, we have a LOT of really dumb customers.

Does anyone know if there is an Apple booth with iPad's on display to get some hands on?

I don't think that's an Apple event. It's hosted by MacWorld VP's. I wouldn't even expect to see an iPad there. Although I am curious as to what will go on during that discussion.
