When I try to scroll up and down on my iPad 2 it just zooms in & out but this is only sometimes. Do you think I should use the warranty I have and get a new iPad or what? If you have any other ideas please reply.

Is it off? This doesn't sound like normal zoom behavior, but it's worth checking.
