May have dropped the iPad or knocked it. Now, you can swipe to open but then the screen is unresponsive. Cannot enter anything. Could it be LCD digitiser? Is there a way of testing it or repairing it?

They can be repaired but you have to be careful where you get it repaired. Might be worth hunting down some repair places or just check with Apple. If it was dropped it probably did damage something, unfortunately.
