All iPads iPad still shipping with 6.1.2?

The reason I said who knows is because I just bought a 4 about 10 days ago and it came pre-installed with 6.1.2 on it.
So really, who knows? Since they don't sell the 3 in-store anymore, they probably aren't being updated like the 4's are.
Well, it's all pretty simple, really - just update to 6.1.3 - not that that update was worth anything!
Not really brand new scorpio. Its the iPad 3 and they don't make them anymore, just the iPad 4 so iPad 3 of course will have the older 5.1.1...You were just joking around weren't you ??? A friend purchased an iPad mini a few days ago that came with 6.1.2. It was a week 11 (March) build.
OTOH, I bought a brand new sealed iPad 4 from Bestbuy today that had 6.0.1 on it. I thought WTH, so I looked up the serial number and it's a week 44 build from last year. LOL, I got a launch day iPad five months later yay! I guess there's not much turn over for white 16GB AT&T models at that store.

Brand new in the sense that it is not a refurbished model. But, yes, it is old and it would stand to reason that the OS would be current from March of 2012 since it's literally been sitting on BB's shelf for a LONG time.
iPad 4 from Sam's Club comes with 6.1.2. We had to upgrade the software before we could restore from iCloud backup.
