Sounds like there were very little stock of the ipad 2.
I called a target and they had FIVE white 16g wifi, called wal mart and they had white ones only. I wanted black so didn't ask what flavor. Sounds like Apple had very little production units to sell.
I hope I don't reget passing on the 16g white one.
