I just jailbroke using Absinthe 2.0.2

I followed the instructions to wipe my ipad (i.e. "erase all content and settings") before jailbreaking. After the JB went through, I tried to restore from my backup, but none of my apps came back.

I realized that I have been backing up to icloud, and not my computer/itunes. So I need to wipe the ipad again, and restore from my icloud account (unless there is a way to restore from icloud without resetting the ipad).

Either way, after "erase all content and settings" after the jailbreak, it gets stuck at a balck screen with a spinning cog.

Nothing happens, and it stays this way for 10 minutes +.

Any advice?

uh oh, now it is stuck in recovery mode with the picture of the plug and the arrow pointing to connect to itunes.

When I connect to my computer, and try to restore, it says: "The iPad coudl not be restored. An unknown error occurred.

Help please.

My ipad shows this:

Is that DFU mode?

When I connect to computer via usb, and try to restore in itunes, it says unknown error.

So now i can't get out of this mode in the above picture, and I can't restore in itunes

ok, i used tiny umbrella and that was able to kick me out of recovery. phew.

but I still want to wipe my ipad and get rid of the jailbreak. I still can't restore via itunes or from the ipad settings "erase all content and settings" function.

How can I wipe my ipad from here?

Again, try putting the iPad int DFU mode and restore it to 5.1.1 through iTunes.

In order to put your device into DFU mode, with the iPad connected to your computer and turned on or off (it doesn't matter), you must press the "home" and "power" buttons together for EXACTLY 10 seconds at which point you must release "power" but continue to hold "home". After about 15 seconds, the device will enter DFU mode.

If there is anything showing on the screen (such as what you posted above) it is not in DFU mode.
