Hello, my kids, 6 and 9 years old, are asking for a stylus for drawing on Ipad. They have Ipads minis 2 and 4 and we also have Ipad Pro 9.7in from 3 years ago that they can use. I would like a good stylus to learn drawing, would spending on Apple Pencil be worth it? Also, which Ipad apps would be easy to use for drawing?

I agree that the Logitech Crayon is a good stylus for drawing. I love the fact that it is easy to share between several iPads since it requires no pairing. However, it is not compatible with the iPad Pro 9.7 or the older minis, so there would be a need to upgrade their iPads. In which case maybe an Apple Pencil is the better (and in this case cheaper) option since they could use it with the 9.7 Pro.

I think Logitech Crayon and Meko Tech Stylus are all OK. Logitech Crayon is a versatile, pixel-precise digital pencil for all iPads in 2018 and later. Please double confirm if it's suitable for your Ipad. I have my own Meko Tech Stylus for drawing, it's cheap. Already used for 2 years. It works on all touchscreen devices and no batteries needed. Till now, it's in good quality. Hope it's a reference for you.

I 2nd the Meko stylus - I LOVE them! They are cheap and work about the best for non-Apple Pencil alternatives. I have tried a lot of stylus on my iPhone. You would not be able to use the pencil on those devices...

The Logitech won’t work with mini 2 or 4, but if your 9.7 is a 6th gen, it, or the 1st gen Apple Pencil, will work.

I think the Logitech crayon is a great, inexpensive alternative, and easy for kids to handle. That being said, the 1st gen pencil is pretty inexpensive used at this point.
