Hey, i made similar thread for iPhone and wonder if you guys think iPad deserves to have the best design among all other tables from market
there are plenty of beautiful tablets, some may get caught your eyes
only design counts
not any other things should modify your judgement
i will add pictures in order to help you

Actually, it is one of the worst table designs on the market. It needs some legs...

I do think it is the most beautifully designed tablet though. The description is well deserved IMO.

IMHO, the iPad Air is easily the most elegant, sexy and well built design on the tablet market. Since I don't usually take mine out of the house, Applecare and no case (to wreck the asthetic) for me!!

I was about to say especially in the white /silver, but the black/grey is just as nice.

Even my dad, who could give two craps about such things and never comments on this kind of stuff, said during the iPad Air pencil commercial yesterday "this is a cool commercial. That is one beautiful computer".

To all the people who are saying it's just a slab, I defy you not to able to spot one from across the room in a busy Starbucks, say.

It's new narrow bezel is rather unique. It's symmetric bezel prior to the Air and a mini was also unique. The aluminum housing itself is enough to set it apart from most others. The home button is iconic. The chamfered edges set it apart.

I agree. It does look nice, but it's rare that I see a tablet I think is ugly - they are all just screens for the most part.

I've got a friend who has very strong opinions when it comes to what tablets do and do not look nice. I just don't get it.

I like the bezel uniformity of the iPad 2. It's thin and light. Nice curves. It's the 30 pin connector is clunky.

iPad Air
I like the small minimal sized Lightning interface. Also thin and light. The bezel makes it wonky.

Air just barely inches ahead.

iPad Air = LA blonde bombshell. Sexy as hell but lacks any brains to do anything remotely worthwhile.

Surface Pro 2 = Beautiful fitness girl you meet at a gym. Has the stronger look and ability to handle anything you throw at her.

Android tablets = A bloated, overweight woman who chain smokes all day long. She looks good all done up, but once you strip her down, you see the rolls, cottage cheese thighs, coarse voice and constantly bogs down if she tries doing too much.

I voted for the Ipad 4 as the most beautiful tablet. While the thinner side bezels on the Air and mini serve to make the device thinner, I think the more even bezel on the Ipad 4 is more aesthetically pleasing.

It depends on anyone's opinion. For me, there are no other tablets, just the ipad. First of all I like the ipad cause it's made of premium parts like aluminosilicate glass and anodized aluminium, NO PLASTIC! And second, I like its elegant and simple look. Yeah, I may sound like a lunatic fanboy but once you go Apple, you never go back!

i actually prefer iPad old gen, they suddenly change a bit design for the Air which i dislike
what people are fond of Air or Mini Retina its because of this thickness, its true but Xperia Tablet and Amazon Kindle are even thinner
people are also fond of simple and elegant design from Air/Mini but some others tablets have also brilliant design
dont get me wrong, i love iPad for many aspects and still think its the best tablet among all other tablets on the market
