Currently my unlimited data sim is in my iPad, I was wondering of anyone knows if I can move it to the hotspot device freely? Thanks

verizon

thing is i can hotspot but if i need to be somehwere I'd like to take my ipad and still have internet for the family to use at home

and someone is selling the hotspot for $100

You will need some powerful thrusters, and a few kilograms of powdered hydrogen. However, I don't recommend transforming your iPad into a jet pack at home.

Truth is that yes, you can move it to a jet pack without issue, Verizon is bound by an agreement to allow this among 4G devices.

Yes, VZW does allow the SIM swap. However, I'm unsure about the details, but I think the swap is from a 4G device to an iPad. But, it seems like you're doing the reverse. I have a Jetpack and it uses a regular sized SIM, so you would need to get an adapter. Secondly, I'm not sure if it will be viable once switched because VZW can detect your iPad. When I switched my iPad and Jetpack SIMs, my online account automatically pointed to me using my iPad for the data.

Or just call VZW and ask them.
