I sent my mint condition 4th Gen iPad with cellular to a UK company for a cash payment and they have now rejected it and sent it back.
'Having checked the notes on the order, I can see that our XXXXX team rejected the iPad as it is an international variant.'
and
'Our internal team have got back to me stating that since the iPad was an American region model (A1460) we will be unable to accept it as unlocked. This is due to the bandwidth for the American region not covering the whole spectrum available in the UK which is why it failed testing. They have confirmed that they will be retesting the item and advise further..'
They cannot retest it as I already have a tracking number.
It seems hard to believe that Apple would swap an unlocked iPad for one less useful.
What does anyone think ?
Thanks
This was supplied by a UK Apple retail store in exchange for a faulty one. I have the email for that transaction and it states 'iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, 16GB, White, MM, International' and includes the serial number.
The refurb company has stated -
