For some reason since the update to iCloud, iTunes, and IOS5 I am having problems syncing wirelessly. I have checked the box that says "Sync iPad through Wi-Fi". It seems to work just fine if I quit iTunes and re-open it. It works once and backups up the device. I was under the impression that now it should do it daily automatically. It still shows the same back-up date and time from 3 days ago since I backed it up. Now if I hit "Sync" on iTunes it shows steps 1 of 6 and so forth but never goes through the entire process of backing up and it still shows my latest backup from 3 days ago. Any ideas? Thank you.

I've got an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 experiencing similar issues. The sync seems to do a backup, then gets stuck with iTunes reporting "Waiting for sync to start" and then failing with a "caution/warning" icon in the device list next to the device I tried to sync. When I click it, it warns me that sync failed to start.

I'm resorting to using USB syncing and that seems to work.
