Ipad wont add movies

For some reason my iPad 1 16gb 3g wont add any movies. Never had this problem untill today. Well it adds to itunes but when i try to sync it onto my ipad says " Cannot be added to ipad because it cannot be played on this ipad". The software is up to date and movies are converted to mp4 using handbreak. Please help! Going on a trip tomorrow morning and wana watch some movies on the plane ride!
