I went to open my iPad this morning and the home button will not work. On the screen at the top is a small rectangle with a search bar on top and below that are Siri suggestions with six apps listed that I commonly use. When I tap on the search line the keyboard does not appear like it should. When I tap on any of the apps nothing happens. I was able to use Siri once to ask her to open an app and got a message to use my thumb print to open it, but Siri said she was unable to open it after I applied my print. Now I can't even activate Siri I can open the Control Center, but nothing I press in it will open. I have tried to turn off the iPad, but it won't even do that. I can't think of what else to do. Any suggestions?

Never mind. A hard reset fixed the problem. I tried that originally and it didn't work, but the second time I tried it worked.
