So i recently bought an iPad last week and it worked fine i was using it all day yesterday and it died on me. The power basically drained to zero. Now it wont turn on. I've tried leaving it plugged in for the night and even tried plugging it in to my macbook but it wont work. I know for a fact it isn't the charger itself since my ipod charges just fine with it. Anyone had this issue or any ideas i could try that might help?

This has happened to me twice. I had to hold down the sleep/wake button for about a minute to get it to turn on.

Actually, holding the SLEEP button simultaneously with the HOME button for about 10 seconds or so should do the trick. Good luck!

Thanks for the help plugging it into the outlet and holding the two buttons down did the trick!

Worked for me as well

Thanks for the help.
When I plugged in and held the two buttons - all came to life in 5 seconds.
This happened after watching the Apple iPad2 movie and playing a mahjong game. Do you think that has anything to do with it?
