The switch on the side of my iPad 1 is behaving very weird no matter what position it is in the screen is always locked or the volume is always muted depending on how i set it in preferences.
So I called my local iDevice Repair Shop and the guy told me that to replace that switch he had to change the whole row of buttons on the side plus replace the screen because apparently it is made differently than the newer iPads so he can't open it without breaking the screen. Is that all bs or is the price of approx 250$ to replace the lockswitch reasonable?
