My iPad2 is 5 years old and is really slow.

I was wondering if doing a factory reset and then restoring from backup would help. Or some alternative approach?

I plan to get a 9.7" iPad Pro in a few months and then use the iPad 2 for limited use.

I's appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

That might help a tiny bit, but I doubt much. The best thing you could do is restore it as a new device and manually install only what you need.

I've done the same with my ipad 3 and after starting new (well its technically on ios 8.3) its just as sluggish
