iPad2 restarts frequently

My iPad2, 16GB, WiFi+3G shuts down and then restarts frequently. Advised to update from 5.1.1 to iOS6, which did not resolve the problem. Pls help

Restore it from iTunes and set it up as a new iPad.
Do not restore from backup.

These problems happen when Apps start misbehaving and store broken data in their respective App sanboxes.
