Apologies if this had been beaten to death. I will be in an area where only GSM coverage exists. No internet, no WiFi (except for whatever I can create by way of local network using my Air?).
The punch line: how do I transfer excel and word files from my iPad2 (with GSM) to my Air? I will be getting said files by email, readable by my iPad2. My iPad2 is not jailbroken.
Thanks a mil in advance!

You should be able to create a local network on your MBA and connect your iPad to it. Then you can do file transfers via Goodreader or other File manager app. So you save the attachments from your mail into Goodreader, connect up to the MBA network and then drag and drop onto your MBA.

Hope that's helpful :)
