I have two iPad Minis in my house: the first Retina version and most recent version with Touch ID. Both have issues consistently connecting to my home's Wi-Fi. Either they don't connect at all or have a very weak connection.
Our iPhones, Roku, Apple TV and multiple laptops connect without issue every time. In fact I can have an iPhone and iPad side by side and the phone will show full Wi-Fi strength while the iPad only shows one bar (or whatever you call the signal indicator).
iPads work fine out of home too. At my office. Or a relative's house.
I've reset network settings. Forgotten the network. All the usual trouble shooting tasks. The only thing that seems to get them to work temporarily is to "renew lease."
Is there something special about the iPad's Wi-Fi radios? (oops sorry Phil Schiller -- I meant "iPad devices").
i have Verizon FIOS for my ISP, and I pay for 45Mbps. Router is this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/172177078283?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true
Router is set to automatic for the channel, with WPA-AES encryption.
Hoping someone out here knows of a stone I've yet to turn over. Thanks!
