I understand, that base OS functions are different, because iPad is touch-first device. Yet I wonder, why is it, that with MKB attached, user interface still has a handful of annoying discrepancies between the two.


1. Forward delete. On Mac, fn+backspace works, on iPad it doesn't, you have to use control+D.
2. Three finger drag/select. Although deprecated it still works well on Mac, much easier to use than click and slide. Four finger gestures on a Mac become three finger gestures on iPad, which is also strange, because the trackpad is not that small.
3. ESC key is mostly useless on iPad, most apps don't accept it as "dismiss this and go back".


Of course these are small issues yet if you switch between devices it would be nice if there was more consistency.

I actually have found ESC useful quite a few times
