Some day perhaps, but for the moment, I don't expect the iPad will follow the watch. Power consumption isn't as critical an issue on a 10" device that has a huge battery onboard. You might even see that on the phone first.
They are, there's no doubt OLED is the future of display technology. I expect the iPhone 6s will have it, and iPads will get it sometime in the future.

It will when they bump the iPad to 4K. The extra energy used to drive the extra pixels will have to be saved from somewhere, most likely a move to OLED.

Yeah, it's more likely to appear in an iPhone first.
New (expensive) display technologies usually appear first on small screens and then migrate up to larger screens as the manufacturing process is refined.
So: watch --> iPhone/iPod --> iPad --> Mac displays.
