I got my IPEVO Skype handset today. The Mac "driver" that IPEVO offers is actually a separate application that you have to run to use the handset to control Skype. It also allows you to change settings for the phone, like volume, programmable key assignments, etc. The speaker and microphone in the handset just show up as regular sound input devices in System Preferences->Sound. You can make calls to both SkypeOut numbers (ie. regular phones) and Skype contacts right from the handset. The sound quality is quite good. Sounds just like a regular phone call to me.

Anyway, if you're looking for a Skype handset that is Mac compatible, the free.1 seems to be a good choice. I hope some other manufacturers will step and support the Mac with their Skype handsets.
