Ipgone will connect to Itunes but no picture

I have a 3g iphone and i fixed the screen and then when i got it all back together the screen will not come up. I have been trying to just do the lcd and still nothing. Does the proximity sensor cable have to be hooked up for picture to come up. Could the main board have moved a little not letting the contacts for the home button work properly. Any help will help me thanks
