Hey All,

Ive been wondering something since the jailbreak came out. Ive tried to do a modified version of the jailbreak. While the jailbreak is great since it leaves the older baseband and does not update to the newer one, you lose the locator in google maps, and other stuff. Now if you have a legit ATT iPhone then your golden, because all you gotta do is plug in your ATT Sim'd iPhone to iTunes and viola, you have yourself a jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone with the all the functionality. But what about us non-att sim users. Not unlockers, just on a different ATT plan, or using an older cingular sim card? Any one know what the status of activation like this on 1.1.3 is?

Daniel

As far as I know, if you're on the newest baseband, it won't activate.

That being said, I couldn't ever get a definitive answer on if you could have the older baseband and activate on 1.1.3 on a non-iPhone AT&T SIM. I'd love 1.1.3 but I'd rather not have the four day marathon of restoring over and over that happened the last time I tried!
