My internet is awful we barely get 2mbps on a good day - its totally not worth paying for it.
Considering Mobile Wi-Fi with a Vodafone dongle.

When download larger apps or updates theres the 100mb download limit - If I get one of these dongles will downloads over 100mb work?

Thanks for any information.

Does the dongle convert the cellular signal to wifi? (Given the name, I'm assuming it does.)

If the phone is receiving data from its wifi antennas, Apple's arbitrary and antiquated 100MB limit isn't in play--it's only enforced when using cellular antennas.

A dongle is normally used to give single computer wifi access (it's a USB device with a SIM Card in it).

I think what you need is a MiFi, which is a little standalone device (with a SIM Card in it) that then broadcasts as a WiFi hotspot (some allow connections from up to 10 devices).
