Hi guys,

so I bought a black iPhone 11 a few days ago. Just when I ejected the SIM tray, a bit of paint came off the tray. Barely noticeable so I was like, ok that’s it now. Also bought that original clear case and put it in right after I bought the phone.

About a few days later, I noticed a white spot under the case on the side of the phone. Thought it was just dirt at first, so took it out of the case for cleaning. It turned out that there was a scratch on the side. What caused it, is that there was a small air bubble inside the plastic of the case at the inside, that formed a sharp edge and scratched the paint.

Yesterday I went to the Apple store and they immediately said it’s apple’s fault and I’ll get a new one. Opened the new one in the store and there was a big scratch on the side. So we opened another box. This third iPhone also had a very very small dent at the volume button. It was very small so I accepted it.

Anyway shocking to see that out of three iPhones I got, none was perfect and one had a massive scratch on it. Same with the cases. First one scratched the paint off and it also was very wobbly fit, the second one I got now also has these air bubbles but there are at the top corner of the case and not noticable.

I honestly expect better from Apple. Probably it’s also just that this black paint on the Aluminium frame is rather sensitive to scratches. Anyway this should not happen so often. Anyone else got similar experiences?

Great service of the store though!

We have had at least 5 between us (in our family), and no issues with any of them. I actually had black, and it was perfect upon arrival, and pristine when I sold it on here a few months ago.
