Apple today announced that the all-new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max models will be available to pre-order on Friday, September 13, although at a brand new time: 5 a.m. Pacific, which is 8 a.m. Eastern.

In previous years, iPhone pre-orders had started at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time.

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max pricing starts at $999 and $1,099 respectively, the same prices as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max that they replace. The iPhone 11 starts at $699, down from $749 for the iPhone XR.

Can we get some details on how the iPhone upgrade program will work? When I clicked through the Apple store app to check out the details it says I’ll be responsible for the entire amount due on the iPhone loan, minus the $500 trade up value? That sounds bogus!

Not a major screw over as it was for east coasters. You'll survive the 5 am wakeup vs the 3 am wake up eastern guys had to.
disagreed. sleep cycles work better for 3 am wake ups. you wake up at 3am, place order, go back to sleep

waking up at 5am is terrible. either you go back to sleep for 1 hour and wake up to feel horrible (due to waking up mid sleep cycle) or stay up after waking up which is still awful.

apple should have made it 3am pacific. waking up at 6am for east coast isn't as bad as waking up at 5am. and 3am pacific guys can go back to sleep with enough time to complete another sleep cycle.

For some reason (sarcasm) I think everybody will be fine pre-ordering with really no need to even wake up at 5 AM for the west coast.

There’s really nothing exciting about this year’s version or ‘must have’ feature to justify the need to pre order anything ASAP.
