iPhone 11 Iphone 11 not saving photos in album when being sent photos

my wife has an issue where any photos that are sent to her via text do not save directly into her photo album and I've noticed in iCloud there is no photo stream on her 11 while on my iPhone pro max it is there...any suggestions? tried resetting the phone but not had any luck.

turns out photos aren't saving to mine either....anybody else had this issue since downloading the latest update?

I believe it’s been like that for a bit. There is also no setting in the Messages sectyof the settings app that would allow this feature.

You’ll have to manually select save after long pressing the image in question.

You are correct. Some Android message apps have a switch to save message pics automatically. iPhone does not and never did.
