the XS max is currently on sale and its 60$ cheaper than the regular 11 same capacity 256gb
i currently own an iphone 8 plus.

Do you think i should just go with the XS max or the regular 11? and does burn in occur on xs max?

I think burn in is anon issue. Its Oled vs new processor, better camera and bigger size. I have both here.

My carrier just discounted the iPhone XS again within the last week, so if somebody can’t really differentiate the differences between both models aside from the camera, then I definitely would opt for the XS, it’s still a very viable iPhone for everything it offers.

If you don't care about the cameras (the 11 has the better ones) then it's the OLED screen vs the newest A13 processor. Also the battery life on the 11 is better.

This sums it up nicely. I’d personally get the 11 for the camera and long battery life.

XS Max has faster downloads (when there’s good signal) and the 2x optical Zoom.

11 has better battery life, faster processor, slightly better reception & modem, and ultra wide 0.5x zoom (no 2x). 11 series also has CBRS so if you are Verizon, I’d definitely go with the 11.

I have an XSM, my son has the 11, and my wife the 11 Pro (non Max).
