Hello,

When I put my iPhone on charge, from 15% to 45% it goes in like 10 minutes

I know that it has fast charger now, but wow thats fast

during that period, phone gets a bit hot, that normal? and also, can someone confirm that blazing fast charging?

i also noticed that it hangs on 80% after it reaches that point. almost as if they turn off quick charging past that point and rely on trickle charging. i mean makes sense, battery technology has always been "compression" from 80% to 100% rather than the quick fill that you get from 20% to 80%.

The speed is normal, as is the phone being warm to the touch when fast charging - more so if your using the phone whilst charging.

That’s probably the optimised charging. It learns when you need the phone so will charge up the last 20% just in time for that. Reduces battery wear.

Nope, that's a normal CC/CV charging strategy for lithium batteries.

Optimized charging works within that by pausing the process until usage patterns call for it to be completed.
