iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 11 Pro - Choppy/Laggy Front Camera Video Zoom

Not sure if i'm the only one experiencing this issue, it happens on instagram/snapchat. When recording a video using the front camera and zooming at the same time, everything will get supper choppy and laggy.

Wouldnt be surprised if its the new wider angle mode on the front facing camera thats having issues, going back and forth with standard no zoom, to wider zoom. Hence giving the choppy look at the video.


Anyone else in the same boat?

Yes, this is a real reported issue (google it & you shall see) - however it appears to be a software fix that Snapchat appears to have fixed, and Instagram still needs to fix.

Possibly, iOS 13.1 may have been a part of the fix also - as there were a lot of other reported performace problems with Instagram & Snapchat & a few others, right after iOS 13 release.

But Instragram still is a bit choppy for me when using my brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max front camera. It chops movement after every few seconds, and I'm not even zooming.
