So I bought it last February 1, 2020 and as of late, my battery health is already at 83% after only bring used for 10 months. I asked my friends about their battery health and one friend who had an iPhone X still had 82% (owned for 2 years) and another one who had an iPhone 8 still had 81% (owned for 3 years)

I can’t imagine Apple will give you a problem if you take it in. Do it before Feb 1st next. Your post reminds me (again) to ask what other phone maker even allows users to monitor battery capacity? None other than Apple that I’ve used. And what other phone maker has a widespread network of retail premises you can take problems to? Aw, I know the answer to that.

I have an XS Max that I bought launch day, so it’s just over two years old. Battery is at 91%. I’ve exclusively wirelessly charged it.

My daughter that has an iPhone 11 that was purchased December of last year is at 82%. She only charges it using a cable. However one thing she does quite often is use it down to where the battery gets very low and sometimes the phone shuts down. I rarely have mine get below 20-30%. Wonder if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the data point. I think 91% is quite good for exclusively wireless charging over a 2 year period.

I always charge with the iPad 12w charger and I have tried to keep my XS from going below 20% before charging. It is about a year and a half old and I’m now sitting at 84%.

Letting your phone get below 20% regularly is a big factor imo

my 3 year old iPhone X is at 91% capacity. My 18 month old xs max is still at 99% capacity. I charge via cable and try to never let them get below 50%

Just upgrade and get a 12pro max PB it has a better camera and Qualcomm modem . The hell with the 11pro max phone battery is shot in 10 months ridiculous
