Is it ok that I use my 11 pro max when it rains light ?

cause yesterday it got hit with a little light rain till I was able to put it in my pocket.

Yes.

We’ve come a long way from the days when I ran with an iPod Touch, and my sweat would fry the unit and trigger the moisture sensor.

I have been using iPhones under the rain since 3GS. Not heavy rain, of course.

If you can take it underwater 13 feet (4 meters; what it’s rated for) for 30 minutes and be fine, then I don’t think a little bit of light rain will hurt it.

The iPhone 11 is certified IP68 which means you can technically swim with it in a swimming pool
