After upgrading from a 6s Plus to an 11 Pro Max I've noticed that the touch screen would often miss quick but forceful taps. This includes taps on icons to launch apps as well as taps on the UI within the the apps. It seems that, unlike the 6s Plus screen, the iPhone 11 Pro screen will often miss quick taps and requires a more sluggish tap. I dropped by the Apple store and tried ten different iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pros and they all have the same issue. My theory is that that this is due to the removal of the 3D Touch layer which senses pressure as that's a major difference between the 6s Plus screen and the 11 and 11 Pro screen. It would make sense that 3D Touch, with the ability to sense pressure, would allow the screen to more accurately sense quick but more forceful taps. The iPhone 11 capacitative screens can only sense electric fields so it is missing pressure information which may lead to a decrease in tap sensing accuracy.
I wasn't able to find any other discussions regarding iPhone 11 owners having this issue and wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed this ?
