iPhone 11 Pro Max iPhone 11 Pro Max WiFi disconnect

After upgrading to IOS 15.1, my iPhone 11 Pro Max seems to disconnect from the WiFi APs quickly after I lock the screen. It works fine if I turn on and unlock the screen again. I use the monitor app of my home WiFi to monitor the iPhone. In the past, it stayed connected continuously to the WiFi AP. But it now disconnects itself from the AP when I am not using it actively.

Anyone knows what is going on?
 
Another data point to add: I turned off the cellular data on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, then the Wifi connects continuously. So it seems there is no issue with the WiFi on my phone. Is this Apple's way to remind me that I need to upgrade?
