Hey there,

Has anyone seen a good breakdown of comparing the two? My wife has an iPhone 11 Pro, and she'd like to upgrade to the mini, but she doesn't want a "gimped phone," so she's tasked me with providing her a a comparison of the two :). Here's what i have so far...

Gains:
  • A14 chip vs A13
  • Smaller form factor, if she opts for the mini
  • 5G Radios
  • Improved cameras
  • Tougher, more shatter resistant glass (Thanks, @atownguy!)
  • Slightly higher pixel density (Thanks, @atownguy!)
Losses:
  • No zoom lens
  • Lower screen brightness
  • Aluminum body vs stainless steel (Thanks, @atownguy!)
  • 15 hours of video battery life vs 18 (Thanks, @atownguy!)
Is it just the zoom lens? Again, I'm comparing her 11 Pro vs the 12 mini / regular, not the 12 Pro. I get that there's no LiDAR on the mini / regular, but there isn't on the 11 either. Anything I'm missing here? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I'm adding other object measures that folks have mentioned.

You can put battery in the loss column. The specs on Apple's website show a significant drop off in battery compared to the 11 pro.

Here are some more Gains:
  • Slightly higher pixel density (476ppi vs the 458ppi on the 11 Pro)
  • Tougher more shatter resistant glass
And some more Losses:
  • Lower "typical" screen brightness (625 nits vs the 11 Pro's 800)
  • No telephoto (zoom) lens
  • Aluminum body instead of stainless steel
  • Worse battery life (15 hours of video playback vs 18 hours on 11 Pro)
