So I received my iphone 11 pro space grey today and I clearly have a LG Oled panel.

Compared to my Xs max the screen is uneven and the colors doesn’t pop like my xs.
The colors also shift a lot more when viewed from the side.

Anyone else noticed this?

Based on your photo your XS Max has a pinkish hue and your 11 Pro looks better to me.
I agree as well. Based on the photo, I would much rather have the 11 Pro screen as it is a bit more blue and less pink.

Am I missing something? Why does one phone look bigger? I thought they were the same size?

And it takes a few days and you'll get used to it.

Yes, haha. One is an XS Max and another is a Pro 11 (not the Max).

I agree. To me the 11 Pro screen looks a lot better.

I’m really sensitive to any discolouration and my 7, 8 and XS Max were all slightly uneven.
Picked up my 11 Pro Max today and the screen is glorious in every way. Noticeably brighter and more pop. Very pleased.

You can’t see the color difference with a camera, only irl. The color shift is visible on photos tho.

True Tone is ofc off.

The 11 pro screen is yellow as hell, not the Xs max.

it is also dimmer than my Xs.

I indeed get the frustration and it looks like we have this issue every year when a new iPhone is launch.

From my experience every screen looks different and if we compare two screens side by side we will see differences and it might be disappointing (or not) due to our very personal perception.

Question that could be difficult to answer is if you wouldn't have compare your iPhone screen with the previous one would have you noticed the tint too warm?

I can't see your screen as you see it in real life but if you're not happy with it then best option is to return your iPhone within the 14ich days return period

Just got my iphone 11 pro and the screen is noticeably yellow and not as bright as my iphone X. True Tone is off

Your eyes can adapt to any tint on the screen if it's not too extreme and it will soon look normal. Your example isn't extreme.

I used to prefer cooler colored displays but the pink shift is way more noticeable on them. So I’m pretty content that I get one that’s on the more yellow side this year with less shift.

My first OLED iPhone since my iPhone 8. Colors are lot warmer on my 11 Pro than my i8. I don't like it very much... but, maybe it's all 11 Pro like that or OLED lottery, I don't know :D

BTW I prefer the color of your 11 Pro :D

This is one of the other reasons I don't like first run iPhone's. They've essentially been rushed out the door and screen calibration is all over the place.

No thanks. I'd wait AT LEAST a month.

In this YouTube video, the person (Daniel) says that the iPhone 11 Pro screen is warmer (with True Tone off) than the XS and this is noticeable on the video. It looks to be Apple choice to set their colour temperature like this which is somehow better for Pictures and also for our eyes :).

lol, it's True Tone. Just turn it off. This is hilarious.
If we are tech-savvy enough to get the phone on launch day and visit MacRumors with our comments the same day I think we have all tried turning off True Tone... thanks for the solid advice. Bottom line the screen is dramatically darker than previous models. I can't use my phone outdoors, its too dark.

The angle of the picture makes it look like a Max with a XR/11 next to it. Not a great angle, but I would agree the Pro looks better to me.
