Looking for tempered glass

applied maybe 8 of them to my girlfriends with several different top review brands on Amazon

they all bubble on the bottom edge or sides

and they are perfectly aligned - what gives?

I had this issue with my se20 but by the second brand I got one that verified didn’t lift on the sides Cause the curved glass was pickier than iPhone 7/8 but was way more dramatic than with 11

is this the same story with 11 (non pro)

The issue is the curve. For years I struggled finding a screen protector that would sit properly and not bubble. When Anker was selling Screen protectors, they told me that its because no two iPhones are the same. Some may have a microscopic difference in the curve, which prevents it from laying flat. Full screen (edge-to-edge) protectors will likely sit better but they can still sometimes bubble.

I used this brand with my XS and 11 Pro with great success.

I see, so its possible no screen protectors will work with this particular unit?

or just have to find the right one for its shape, by chance?

I think its the latter; just finding one that works. I have massive bubble "ocd". It drives me insane, so I understand the feeling.

If you're a perfectionist I'll have to disappoint you by saying that none of the cheap ones have an Oleophobic coating that's even close to the original glass. If you don't mind smudges a cheap one will be fine.

I'd look for one of the curved Belkin ones since they can be on sale now and are super easy to apply. I don't know if I'd recommend them at their full price, but I found one for 50% and it's been great
