Just curious if anyone upgrading from 11 series to 12 series noticed:

1) any significant improvement in LTE cal quality/speeds between the 2 modems?

2) any difference in the call quality/speeds of Qualcomm base 12 vs Pro series?

3) any difference in call quality/speed between 64GB vs 128GB vs 256GB etc or are the lower GB 12 series Qualcomms throttled?

This is a good question. I’m hoping to see some comparisons soon as well.

I don't see any difference in LTE speed between the 11 Pro I had and 12 Pro I now have. Connection in weak signal areas is better on the 12 Pro. That is most important to me. I am on verizon, if that means anything. 5G non UWB speed is actually lower than LTE. Don't buy the phone for the 5G hype.

Yes I noticed the iPhone 12 has better LTE speeds mostly due to the Qualcomm modem, I no longer have my 11 for a direct comparison since I sold it but here is a video comparing them side by side. (starts at about the 7 minute mark)

Can someone please check the wifi speeds with bluetooth on and completely off and post them here?
Are the wifi speeds slower with bluetooth turned on?

Thanks but are there any Pro vs non-Pro LTE comparisons?

I don't notice any difference. Top is with BT on, bottom with it off. Virtually identical wifi speeds.

Apple insider: Next year's "iPhone 13" models are likely to come equipped with the X60 modems, however. That'll bring significant improvements to battery performance, chip size, and connectivity.

Same here - almost 50% faster on the 12 compared to the 11 on 4G LTE.

How’s Bluetooth relevant here?!
Somehow it is... but i have an iPhone X with Intel modem so that might or might not be the case, i don’t know but that’s the reason why i don’t have an Apple Watch and why i don’t use AirPods because i know i’ll be pissed that everything is loading slower.

As you can see here, the top one is with Bluetooth turned on, the bottom one is off. It’s not that *bad* but it’s hit or miss. Sometimes the speeds are even slower and sometimes are almost the same. And i already got my iPhone exchanged and it didn’t help.

Very interesting I’ve never heard of this before.

Traded my iPhone 11 for an iPhone 12 with Apple late Friday night. Today was the first workday with the 12. The 12 is faster than the 11 on WiFi for sure, can't speak yet to LTE, not enough experience. Will switch to a 5G plan later this month. Battery life of the 12 seems the same as the 11, using dark mode on the 12 in pursuit of best battery life given the OLED screen.

Do you know if your wifi network separates the 2.4 and 5ghz signals?
