Hey all.

My wife loves her small phones and despite giving it real try, the SE2 was always too big for her. Enter the iPhone 12 Mini that she now has and is very happy with. The problem is, the case she has loved and used for years, the Speck Candyshell Grip is no longer made the way it was and is now far less grippy than. It has to be and is all silicone without a separate mold for the rubber grip it use to have.

We are now on the hunt for a better replacement for the Candyshell Grip case. She has already tried a few, including the Presidio2 of course, a Spigen one and a few other random brand. Does anyone know of a slim grippy case for the 12 Mini that has grip similar to the original Candyshell Grip?

Thanks

Thanks but we do not want the Candyshell Grip anymore. I should of said that to begin with. They changed the materials used for them and they are not what they once were.

Oh! I see that now- that stinks. I used to like those cases too!

Hi iAdamator,

I'm happy with my mini also! A case I'd suggest for your Wife is the

Smartish Kung Fu Grip Slim Case - iPhone 12 mini
(Amazon link)

Happy Holidays to you both!

Happy Holidays and thank you for the suggestion.

Unfortunately we already tried that one (and one other variety from smartish) but they weren’t what she was looking for.

She is currently using the Thin Fit from Spigen and she has liked it best so far. This one may be the winner.

I completely understand the appeal of the Thin Fit. I have it in Navy on my SE2. (I wasn't crazy about the button treatment with the mini version, and returned it.) I'm using a clear case by Torras currently, while awaiting delivery of a re-tooled Caudabe Sheath. Has your Wife looked at the Sheath, or the Caudabe Synthesis ?

Those would be my other two/2 suggestions.

How thick was the smartish kungfu case?
