iPhone 12 PM Magsafe Accessories no longer animate or chime

Not sure who else may be experiencing this issue... but shortly after receiving my Apple Leather Sleeve, any animations or sounds stopped working. Sliding the phone into the sleeve does nothing, slapping the phone into any Magsafe cases (tried with 2 silicone, 1 clear and 1 leather), nothing happens.

The only accessory that still provides its normal animation is the Magsafe charger.

I'm 99% sure this was happening on iOS 14.2 and as well on 14.3 for me. NFC still works, if i touch any of my tags my automations still function fine.

I'm at a loss, tried rebooting, hard reboot, etc... no change.

Ok, so i tested all of my cases....

After multiple reboots and literally trying everything else that I could without wiping my phone...

Apple sleeve - baltic blue (worked fine originally) -- animations and wallpaper change, etc will NOT work. Case is useless.
Apple Silicone White (worked fine originally) - no animations or sound
Apple Silicone Blue (worked fine originally), continues to work as expected with animation and sound.
Apple Leather blue (worked fine originally), continues to work as exptected.

I usually run the phone naked, but have definitely charged the device overnight in all of these cases using the Apple Magsafe charger... i'm wondering with use if it fried out the NFC chips in the cases? Something seems to be up here, hoping Apple addresses. For now, going to attempt to return the white silicone and sleeve and see if replacements are fine.
