Why does this happen when I take a picture of an old Macs screen? Green lines?

It is call a moray (sp) pattern, caused by the interaction of the pixels on the screen and the pixels in the camera not quite lining up. Totally normal.

Moire, but yes, this. Would happen with any phone camera. When I tested it just now the lines were more grey, but still there.
