I've been looking around for a bumper style case on Amazon and stumbled on this clear bumper case for the iPhone 12 Pro! It's what I've always wanted in a case, and just wanted to share it with you. Link: https://www.amazon.com/ANHONG-Bumpe...=iPhone+12+bumper+frame&qid=1605984071&sr=8-2

I’ll check this out. Looks like a nice way to not cover your color choice while still providing some protection. I wonder what height they have it drop tested at (if much)

I looked at the reviews on the 12 Pro Max version and the one review said it was a great concept but poorly executed. There are some metal/tpu combo bumpers that I might consider. Either that or a Totallee or Peel uber thin clear case.

I ordered one and received it yesterday evening. I'm not thrilled with the workmanship. The concept is great but it's not nearly as well made as the apple clear case for example. It does have a pair of holes for a lanyard which I like because I like to use a lanyard. I suppose it's asking too much to have the same quality control at the low price. If you're not too concerned with some irregularities it could work. The poly carbonate around the back has a matte finish that's not very well done.

did you get the max or pro version?

Damn it’s unavailable, I hope it comes back in stock soon. I’d love to have the protection of a bumper case while still being able to show the beauty of the frame.

it's not bad quality, it's a pretty tight fit on my 12 pro, no corner lifting. Not sure if there are others with the issue but mine's fine so far.

To Rainman, what is the finish on the surface surrounding the back of the phone a flat finish sort of a sand blasted surface? Was yours pretty uniform on that surface? The finish on the glass adjacent to it is much smoother and more uniform on mine.

The back plastic lip finish is uniform for me. But I really hate that they wrote power on the button and then the bottom speaker grille cutouts are this weird rectangle.

I've been using this bumper for about a week now and it's exactly what I was looking for as I prefer clear bumpers/cases. The phone lays flat so the camera is protected and it obviously doesn't cover up or mute the Pacific Blue color of the phone.

I may end up getting a MagSafe leather case down the road if I decide to try a MagSafe car mount, but for now I'll use this bumper.

yeah it's a lot tighter than i expected and barely slips. but since there is a divet around the sides and back, when attaching the magsafe, unless the wire is up or down, it slightly lifts off the surface when running the cable from the puck left or right

I like the look of this. Hopefully a black version will become available for the Pro Max. Most of the offerings I can find have a backing and aren't a true bumper style.

I'm not sold on that bumper but I did get this from Amazon for my 12 Pro Max. It fits nicely and it has back protection as well. The corners are long so if you lay your iphone on it's back it'll lay flat because of the corners. I also ordered the red one too just in case it look better than the blue one.

Looks exactly like the ThanoTech bumper case I got for my iPhone 6s Plus, which was very slippery.

So, a couple of things I've found out with this clear bumper.

First, on my 12 Pro the Apple MagSafe wallet fits perfectly between the side lips of the bumper.

Second, the Belkin MagSafe Car Mount does NOT fit perfectly between the sides of the bumper. If I give it an extra little push the mount will fit between and make flush contact with the back of the phone. If I ever forgot to do this, I'm sure my phone would end up on the floor very quickly. Of course this wouldn't be a problem for the Max phones.

So, for now I'm back to using my phone naked with the wallet and car mount.
