When I try to launch the Fitness app on my new iPhone it opens and says "The Fitness app works with Apple Watch....to start using the app on our iPhone, first set up Activity on your Apple Watch".

I've done that on both of my Apple Watch series 6 (it was already done) as well as confirming that the settings were correct in Settings and the Apple Watch App.

Everything has been restarted including a hard reset on the iPhone.

I'm still getting the same screen and statement described above. As an aside, the Fitness app still opens fine on my old iPhone 11. I did set up the new phone by restoring from my old phone's iCloud backup. Everything else works fine and all settings mirror the old phone.

Anyone else having this issue? Suggestions appreciated!

Bill

I had the same issue, what I did was go into the Apple Watch into settings on the watch and wipe it, then go on your new iPhone and set it up again using your back up and it should work perfectly
