I recently purchased an iPhone 12 Pro and ran into an issue I can’t seem to fix. It’s my only Apple device that does this, but iCloud tabs it will show about 20 old tabs from months ago (January even) along with current ones. I swipe to delete the tabs, then they pop back up minutes, seconds or hours later. I’ve tried factory reset and every other troubleshooting suggestion I’ve seen online and nothing works. My iPad, iMac and MBA don’t have this issue, they all sync the iCloud tabs correctly. I’m not sure if this is an ios 14.6 bug or just some strange issue with the device. Any suggestions?

Any kind of iCloud syncing with Safari in particular and its tabs, bookmarks, can be a royal pita with new devices.
God knows why, iCloud just seems to have a brain fart.

I've encountered this kind of thing dozens of times over the years with iCloud. I had to wait several months for any of my iCloud tabs to show up at all with my iPhone 12 PM.

My advice, which isn't a solution and won't make anyone happy.
Just ignore it and continue to use your device as normal, eventually it'll sort itself out. You'll wake up one day and, hey presto, things are back to normal, without any interaction from you.

I've tried every single trick under the sun many, many times with these kinds of issues.
The only thing that's ever worked for me, is ignoring it.

Annoying? Most definitely, and it's something Apple should have sorted out by now. Maybe in another decade or so :D

I have the exact same issue on my iPhone and my M1 mini: Both are showing tabs that I've closed months ago.

I read that login into and out of iCloud on the device that's experiencing the issue should fix it but that the fix doesn't last.

It seems many others have the same issue so maybe Apple will eventually fix it.
