So i was bored and i was looking through my contacts and i found a contact with the name Gojek(with a green tick) saved into my contacts. Problem is, i have never saved any number from Gojek. There was like 50+ numbers saved.

Okay so i deleted the contact, went to recents in Phone, and bam Gojek is saved again in my contacts. So i cleared recents and deleted Gojek again and its not showing up anymore.

Is there a way to disable this? Its effing annoying.

Gojek is an Indonesian food delivery/item delivery service.

Your recent calls list is a list of recent calls, each item can be deleted, and the names are not saved in your contacts. How is that annoying?

The problem is it is saved AUTOMATICALLY into my Contacts under the name Gojek(with a green tick). The only solution is to clear Gojek in Phones and delete the contact in Contacts. It happened too on my wives iPhone 11 Pro Max.

So long story short, everytime I use the Gojek Application and the courier calls me, it will save the number AUTOMATICALLY.

Heres what i found from Google.

There was another thread but i forgot to save it. A user stated that iPhones saves number automatically if it was an extension or something.

Siri suggestions might be noticing you use that number frequently and suggesting to add it to your contacts. I have had this happen quite a few times but it always asks me if I want to create a contact, it never does it on it's own..
