My second 12 pro max now this one won’t wireless charge at all.

I did test my dad 12 pro max and mom 12 pro both wireless charge With multiple wireless chargers

I called Apple care they told me to reboot and rest setting no luck

I’m about to return and rebuy again

it’s not a software bug if it was it would be happen on my mom and dad iPhone too.

two things what can I do now ?

when I do a return and rebuy it won’t do another credit check right ?

Returning and rebuying its defective I would use my warranty it’s to new I hope it don’t hinder another credit check
If it is within a month, you normally won't get another credit check so you should be fine. If the Qi Charging doesn't work and you are within your warranty, just go return it, and order a new one. When you return the phone that is on iUP, it should close out the loan right away.

Alright I called apple senior customer service he’s looking into it.

IF you can just return it for a refund and just rebuy, Id do just that. I did this too on my very first IUP. I choose the wrong type of apple upgrade program which is the 24 month and that one didn't let you upgrade yearly. So I returned it and did it again and there was no another credit check. So you will want to do it less than 30 days. It's just like car shopping, even if you do multiple inquiries, you only get 1 ding in your credit report.

I’m brining back to my apple store to Return it and rebuy

I had the same problem with my iPhone 12 mini...would stop charging via conductive charging. Tried other wireless chargers and nothing. Had to turn off the phone and back on. Then would work again, but did it again a few days later. No clue why.

Returning the phone

my store had a hassel returning it

My iPhone 12 Pro Max also did this for a few seconds after a update, i suggest waiting for a update this is a software issue, seems like Apple is really having a hard time fixing stuff.

Glad I found this thread. My 12 pro has been awful with Qi charging since I got it. Supposedly 14.3 was supposed to fix this but it didn’t. I called support and was referred to a sr advisor yesterday. They pulled some logs and were looking into it further. I’m supposed to get a call back Thursday. Hopefully they can fix it or swap it.

They are not going to swap your phone if it's a software issue which it is.

Very strange, must be some kinks Apple need to workout with MagSafe on iPhones and playing nice with other wireless chargers.

Considering this is the first generation of iPhone to have MagSafe I guess there was bound to be some issues.

Hopefully they can sort your phone out soon or just swap it out if they cannot.

How is it a software issue if there’s been like 4 iOS updates since I’ve had the problem. Wouldn’t one of the updates have fixed it?

Mine did it for a few seconds after i updated before the update it didn't do that, Apple is messing with iOS because the screen having green tint is the same issue and still not fixed.

You were right. My advisor called today to advise me they’re aware of the issue and I’m not alone. They’re claiming “in the next few days “ a software update will address the problem. Seems fishy to me. iOS 14.5 is on beta 3 and seems to still have many bugs. Feeling like I’m getting the run around. What are my options at this point. The only 12 pro they had in stock when I bought it was a 512gb model so I spent some serious dough on a phone advertised with Qi charging but won’t. I’m a huge fan of apple and don’t want to be rude about it but bottom line I bought something that don’t work right and they don’t seem too concerned about it.

Well, i do agree that we all spent alot on a phone with so much issues. Before i bought my 12 pro max i had a regular 12 and it had so many imperfections that i demanded a replacement but they asked to send it in to inspect it, after sending it in and receiving it back it had a scratched back and where i live we just have to deal with it. Sold it with profit and bought a 12 pro max and it was almost perfect but you can't expect a 100% perfect phone, never. Cars are the same thing and you pay more for that than a phone BUT lets not forget we are still in a covid-19 crisis which mostly is the cause of all this problematic stuff going on right now.
