I drive in and out of areas during the day with my iPhone 12 Pro Max that sometimes do not have reception. Sometimes my phone will find reception quickly when I re-enter a location with reception and sometimes it does not and I have to reboot it.
1. I can not figure out why it does this sometimes and sometimes it does not. Any guesses?
2. Any suggestions for what I might be able to do correct this?

Thanks

Rather than reboot, trying settings, cellular, data. Turn it off and back on. Alternatively, reset network settings and see if that helps.

Great idea about turning on and off cellular data. Where is the reset network settings and can this cause any possible issues? Thanks

No, it won’t cause any issues, but it will reset all network connections. So, if you have a Bluetooth headset, or WiFi network for example, a connection will have to be reestablished.

Settings—general—reset—reset network settings.
