Got the phone, silent switch was really mushy ie not clicky. Still worked but you could tell it wasn’t supposed to be like that. Returned it, waited almost a week for the new one to come and the new one has same issue.

Is this a common issue? I don’t want to be in a revolving door of returns etc

You could also get:

Iphone lottery

• mute switch rattle,
• uneven volume buttons,
• mushy volume buttons,
• dust under camera lens,
• scratch on bezel,
• chipped anodised finish,
• scratch on glass,
• overly yellow/red/green display,
• gap around glass,
• poorly seated glass,
• uneven gasket,
• dents/marks in gasket

Sadly not all iPhones are made equal. I'd say a mushy mute switch isn't right but not a big issue considering the others things that could be wrong out of the box. 🤷‍♂️
