More specifically, what color do you have and what kind of shape is the stainless steel sides in as far as scrapes, scuffs and scratches? Do you use a case or not? How long have you had your Pro?

I have Graphite and no marks whatsoever. Could pass as brand new. My buddy who has the Silver looks like complete garbage. Any of the colors with PVD coating will hold up better. On the flipside, the raw stainless on the Silver can be buffed out if you have the patience.

Launch 12Pro in Graphite, Apple leather case. Only very minor scratches around the Lightning connector. The rest of the band is like new.

Gold 12 Pro Max. Casekoo clear case and occasionally a Moment case. It looks good as new. I can’t keep the blasted fingerprints off long enough to see scratches though. I remove the cases and clean the phone regularly and slap the case back on before I can get any prints on it!

I've been caseless since launch day, and my graphite iPhone 12 Pro Max's side are nearly perfect. There are a few scuffs/scratches on the top, since the phone goes into my pocket top-down each time, but overall I'm very impressed by the durability of whatever coating process they used.

No idea, I keep mine in a case. I don’t obsess over the small scuffs or scratches anymore, nor do I inspect my phone to find issues

Graphite 12 pro max here. Pristine condition could easily pass as brand new and trust me I am OCD about these things. I am also careful when connecting the lightning cable.

Mine are basically pristine. I’ve had it since launch and have had a case on it always, but even when I’ve used a case that leaves the bottom and top unprotected (like a shell-type case), the exposed areas haven’t picked up any scratches.

Had my 12PM in a case for the first few months, until I went to clean it and discovered that particles had made it between the Apple leather case and the phone over time, and began to scratch the silver SS. Since then, I’ve just gone caseless. It’s more satisfying but definitely have a couple more scuffs or bruises. It does buff out decent tho.

My PB 12 Pro Max is holding up perfectly, looking as good as new, hence I may skip iP 13PMX. Tbh the colour choices are underwhelming and imo PB is a better shade of blue than that Sierra!

I always use a silicon clear case from day one to keep the edges in pristine condition .

Pacific Blue 12 Pro used mostly in n Apple‘s Leather case, before that a Totallee case and occasionally caseless. Nothing on the stainless steel that can’t easily be wiped off.

Sierra Blue looks gorgeous IMO and is my main reasoning to upgrade, lol

Don’t do it tough. I have one and the colour is already coming off after a few months. My camera rings are showing rusts spots without ever been in water.
